PND BSE 11/12: ET – Electrical Measuring Instruments

Last week we’ve learned 4 electrical measuring instruments,ie Ammeter, voltmeter, Ohmmeter & Multimeter

Today, i’ve showed you another 3 more electrical measuring instruments, ie CRO, Function generator and power supplies pack..not only that, we’ve learned how to read the resistance reading from an analogue multimeter..and we’ve learned to calculate the voltage,time and frequency of a wave produced by CRO..

Your task for this week is to complete the handouts that are distributed to each of your group (the rest should have make your own copies)..this is very important as it is part of your revision for your examination coming soon in November..

Hope that you all alert of which chapters are included in your Phase Test 1..Any ideas??

PND BSE 11/12: EP – Dismantle

This week your practical activity will be as simplier it may be..

Most of you were puzzled when i asked you to dismantle all appliance from the board..

What is Dismantle? It is the process to clear or disconnect everything from the board!!

Procedures:

1. Disconnect all the appliances – use appropriate tools

2. Place the appliances in separate storage – to be used in the future (recycle)

3. To make your board look nicer its best to paint your board

4. Let it dry then place it below the bench

Here is something your class have to discuss..From your observation before the dismantle process,

what kind of appliances you can find on the board??

Any ideas what will be your next practical??

Have you notice what colours are wires are used??

what type of circuit is it??

Selamat Hari ‘Cikgu’

                                       USMAN AWANG

Dialah pemberi paling setia
Tiap akar ilmu miliknya
Pelita dan lampu segala
Untuk manusia sebelum jadi dewasa.

Dialah ibu dialah bapa juga sahabat
Alur kesetiaan mengalirkan nasihat
Pemimpin yang ditauliahkan segala umat
Seribu tahun katanya menjadi hikmat.

Jika hari ini seorang Perdana Menteri berkuasa
Jika hari ini seorang Raja menaiki takhta
Jika hari ini seorang Presiden sebuah negara
Jika hari ini seorang ulama yang mulia
Jika hari ini seorang peguam menang bicara
Jika hari ini seorang penulis terkemuka
Jika hari ini siapa sahaja menjadi dewasa;
Sejarahnya dimulakan oleh seorang guru biasa
Dengan lembut sabarnya mengajar tulis-baca.

Di mana-mana dia berdiri di muka muridnya
Di sebuah sekolah mewah di Ibu Kota
Di bangunan tua sekolah Hulu Terengganu
Dia adalah guru mewakili seribu buku;
Semakin terpencil duduknya di ceruk desa
Semakin bererti tugasnya kepada negara.
Jadilah apa pun pada akhir kehidupanmu, guruku
Budi yang diapungkan di dulangi ilmu
Panggilan keramat “cikgu” kekal terpahat
Menjadi kenangan ke akhir hayat.

PND BSE 11/12: EP – Workshop A & B Layouts

I guess most of you wonders why do i ask you all to draw the layout of both workshops and identified all safety equipments such as fire extinguishers, emergency stop buttons, emergency exits etc…

It is very important to know well all the location of safety points in the workshops..

As you have learned in ET under Safety Hazards, for an example;

When there is an electrical accident happen such as an electric shock to one of your classmate, what should you do??

a) Run immediately to the nearby emergency exit

b) Press the emergency stop button to cut off all the current supply through out the workshop then inform your instructor

c) Take pictures of the accident then upload it to your Facebook to search for help

d) Run immediately to the staffroom to inform your instructor

What’s your answer???
